Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh

Cox’s Bazar is a town on the southeast coast of Bangladesh. It is famous mostly for its the world’s longest unbroken 120 k.m beach slopping gently down to the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal against the picturesque background of a chain of hills covered with deep green forests, Cox’s Bazar is one of the most attractive tourist spots in the world. It is located 150km south from Chittagong Division.

Cox’s Bazar is consisting of golden sands, towering cliffs, surfing waves, rare conch shells, colourful pagodas, Buddhist temples and tribes community. Aggameda Khyang monastery is home to bronze statues and centuries-old Buddhist manuscripts. South of town the tropical rainforest of Himchari National Park has waterfalls and many birds. North sea turtles breed on nearby Sonadia Island.

Day 1: Departure from Dhaka

Reporting at within 10:30 at Rajarbagh, Departure from Dhaka City at 11:00 pm for an overnight journey to Cox’s Bazar by A/C bus.

Day 2: Adventure Begins

Upon arriving at Cox’s Bazar, check in and rest in hotel. After lunch start for visit “Broken Hills”, waterfalls of Himchori and Inani beach. After sunset return to Cox’s Bazar for an overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 : Historical Tour

After breakfast drive to Ramu to visit the Buddhist monastery at Khayang Para, Ramkot Bonasrom (14 km from Ramu) and The Burmese Boro Khayang, before lunch back in hotels. Overnight stay at Cox’s Bazar.

Day 4: Departure

Check out from hotel after breakfast, departure from cox’s Bazar in morning bus, return in Dhaka in the evening.

Moheskhali an Island off the coast of Cox’s Bazar has an area of 268 square km through the centre of the Island and along the eastern coastline rises a range of low hills, about 300 feet high, but the coast to the west and north is a low lying tract, fringed by-mangrove forest. Teknaf 80 Km south of Cox’s Bazar, is a pleasure spot on the west bank of Naaf rivers, a small township. It is the southernmost tip of the main land of Bangladesh. Boating and other facilities also available for the visitors. Myanmar is on the opposite bank of the Naaf River. St martin’s island the country’s long coral island is situated in the Bay of Bengal about 25km away from the Teknaf. The island is reached by engine boat, ship or trawler from Teknaf during the winter when the sea remains calm. Chhera Dip another small island adjacent to St. Martin island. It is detached from St. Martin during high tide, where living corals can be seen, through about twenty feet deep transparent water. It is the only place in Bangladesh where one can observe living Coral. Cox’s Bazar Beach, Inani Beach, Marine Drive, Himchori, Radiant Fish World, Mermaid Beach Resort, 100 Feet Buddha, Sonadia Island, Laoni Beach, Kana Raja’s Cave, Elephant Show, Darianagar Caves attracted the tourist in Cox’s Bazar.
